 Hacking can be either ethical or unethical. Ethical hackers vision towards solving any technical problem is undoubtedly beyond the perception of any normal computer expert. 

An unethical hacker attacks to hide his or her traces for launching attacks at more secure sites to gain complete control of the system i.e. to edit, delete, install, or execute any file in any user’s directory.
